The dramatic attack on living standards launched by the Nigerian government this week provoked a wave of protest as has been featured on socialist world.net. Now, in response to pressure from the working and poor masses, the Nigerian Labour Congress and Trade Union Congress have announced an indefinite general strike beginning on 9 January.
