The protests followed the verdict in a high profile rape trial which put the court system’s failure of women on display. In the video below, Ruth Coppinger, Solidarity TD (Member of Parliament) and Socialist Party (CWI in Ireland) member speaks to Saturday’s protest of over 10,000 people in Dublin. Protests also took place in Belfast, Cork, Limerick and Galway.
