The International Secretariat of the Committee for a Workers’ International (CWI) was very saddened to hear the news of the death of Lynn Walsh, who passed away late last Friday. For many years Lynn was a member of the leaderships of both the Militant, later the Socialist Party of England and Wales, and the CWI. Lynn was, as a member of Militant’s Editorial Board, in the first group of comrades expelled from the Labour Party in 1983 after a lengthy and well publicised battle.
Lynn’s activity began in the mid-1960s and he played an important role both in the Militant/SP (E&W) and CWI until ill health led to an increasing withdrawal from political activity.
The Committee for a Workers International extends its sincere condolences to Lynn’s family and friends.
We will publish an appreciation of Lynn’s work and political legacy in our movement.
