Tanaiste (Deputy PM) trapped by protestors; AAA TD (MP) and Socialist Party member, Paul Murphy, assaulted
Here we publish some videos of a spontaneous protest in Tallaght, a working class suburb of Dublin, where Joan Burton, Labour Deputy Prime Minister was trapped in her car for over two hours by angry anti-water tax protestors. The Socialist Party (CWI in Ireland) and Anti-Austerity Alliance played a leading role in the protest, with Paul Murphy TD, in particular, singled out for police brutality.
